Social Skills Groups:

Our social skills groups provide a structured and supportive setting for children to develop essential social competencies such as communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution.

Duration: 5 Weeks

Expressing Emotions Through Art:

This program encourages children to explore and express their emotions creatively through various art forms such as painting, drawing, and sculpting. Through artistic expression, participants learn to identify and process their feelings in a healthy and constructive manner.

Self-Esteem/Self-Love Enhancement Program:

Our self-esteem/self-love enhancement program focuses on empowering children to develop a positive self-image and cultivate

self-compassion. Through guided activities and discussions, participants learn to recognize their inherent worth and embrace their unique qualities.

LGBTQ+ in Young Adults:

This program provides a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ young adults to explore issues related to identity, belonging, and acceptance. Facilitated discussions, guest speakers, and supportive activities aim to foster a sense of community and empowerment among participants.

Mentoring Services

Our Youth Mentoring Program offers a nurturing and empowering environment for young individuals to develop essential life skills, foster personal growth, and build meaningful connections with mentors. Through one-on-one mentoring sessions and group activities, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their social, emotional, and academic competencies while receiving guidance, support, and encouragement from experienced mentors.

Tutoring Services

Participants will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide personalized guidance, support, and encouragement tailored to the mentee's unique needs and aspirations. Mentors will meet with their mentees on a weekly basis to discuss progress, address challenges, and set goals for personal growth.

Coping with Greif and Loss:

Our Grief and Loss Support Program offers a compassionate and nurturing space for young adults to navigate the complex emotions and challenges associated with grief and loss. Through a combination of individual counseling, group therapy, and holistic support services, our program aims to provide young adults with the tools, resources, and support they need to cope with their loss, heal from their grief, and rebuild their lives with resilience and strength.

Creative Expressions through Cooking:

Our Creative Cooking Program offers an exciting and hands-on culinary experience for youth, empowering them to explore the world of cooking without the need for a stove. Through a series of engaging and interactive sessions, participants will learn basic cooking techniques, experiment with fresh and nutritious ingredients, and unleash their creativity in the kitchen. From simple snacks and no-bake treats to creative meal ideas, our program aims to inspire a love for cooking and foster important life skills in young chefs.

Assisting with Daily Living Skills:

Daily living skills refer to the basic tasks and activities that individuals typically perform on a daily basis to take care of themselves and manage their lives independently. These skills are essential for functioning in everyday life and can vary depending on age, developmental stage, and personal circumstances.

Practical sessions focused on mastering skills like cooking, cleaning, community safety protocols, and effective task management.

GTI Comprehensive Student Development Program

         Our program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and support to navigate social interactions, manage emotions effectively, engage in creative expression through arts and crafts, and benefit from personalized mentoring relationships. The program has open enrollment and runs on a weekly basis in increments of 2.5 hours one time per week for 5 weeks. Participation fee is $525 total without transportation.

 

Social Skills Development

Structured sessions aimed at enhancing communication, empathy, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.

Role-playing activities, group discussions, and interactive exercises to practice social interactions in various contexts.

Strategies to promote inclusivity, respect for diversity, and positive peer relationships.

 

Anger Management

Workshops focusing on understanding triggers, recognizing signs of escalating anger, and implementing coping strategies. Techniques for self-regulation, relaxation, and assertive communication to manage anger constructively.

Individualized support and guidance tailored to each student's needs.

 

Arts and Crafts

Weekly sessions dedicated to exploring different artistic mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafting.

Projects designed to encourage creativity, self-expression, and fine motor skills development.

Integration of art therapy principles to promote emotional well-being and self-discovery.

 

Mentoring

One-on-one mentoring relationships established between students and qualified mentors from G.T.I.

Regular meetings to set goals, discuss challenges, and receive guidance in academic, personal, and social matters.

Mentors serve as positive role models, offering encouragement, accountability, and support to help students thrive.

 

Program Implementation

G.T.I will provide experienced facilitators and mentors with expertise in social skills development, anger management, and arts education.

Sessions will be conducted on the premises of the facility, utilizing available facilities and resources.

Program scheduling will be coordinated in consultation with school administration to ensure integration with academic priorities.

 

Evaluation and Feedback

Ongoing assessments will be conducted to measure student progress, skill acquisition, and program impact.

Feedback channels will be established to solicit input from students, parents, teachers, and administrators for continuous improvement.
